I got sick on April 21st and have been sick since then. The past 2 weeks have been mostly just a cough, but not 100%. That takes a toll on the pysche. Well...that and being single in KC. But that is just one of the depressing issues. At the beginning of this month, I had my (what is determining to be) annual sewer back-up. Flooded the laundry room and went into the finished basement. Had to limit water usage for showers, laundry, toilet, etc for a week until I got in the Root-X that ordered online. I used it last year and it seemed to keep the roots in the sewer at bay for 10 months or so...which is longer than the cheap root killer from walmart. Then I had to call in the plumber to mechanically get out the roots... $110 and all the roots he drug up fit balled up in the palm of a latex glove. I think i just need to plan on having that done annually in March? to prevent the subsequent flood. Of course this happened while I'm in the throws of 101 degree tempurature and ear infections that make it hard to hear...and no one to help. Oh well.. I managed. A few weeks later I had a crack in my foundation leak into my finished bedroom in the basement...thats what 8 inches of rain in a short time will get you. I did not know about it for a week....so mold is already taking up shop. Did I mention that I'm allergic to mold? Oh well..the clean up starts on that as well. I have a feeling that it is goign to be an expensive fix and i'm not sure when I will get to it. I tried to block it from the outside hoping that will prevent another major soaking it for now.
